My youth group watched a video as part of the altercall. It was about a guy who had a Christian friend that never told him about Jesus. When this guy dies he ‘writes’ a letter to his Christian friend. He writes about how when he was in line for judgement; and the line was moving along and he got to the front and was asked his name, to find it in a book called “The Book Of Life”, but when they couldn’t find it, he was then pulled away by to angels to a ‘holding sell’. He asked to know where they were taking him and they said that only those people whose names were in the book of life could enter the Kingdom Of God, all others were sent to a place called Hell. Hell, also called “The Lake Of Fire”, is a place of eternal pain, depression, hurting, sorrow, and torture… and it never changes. You then have an permeant separation from God, the Person who spoke you to being, the One who has known you since you were designed. If your not saved when you die You ARE going to Hell. This concept is so overwhelming that I have trouble explaining how horrid Hell IS. You’ll never get used to the heat, but that won’t matter if you have no Hope. This hope only comes from Jesus, the hope of being able to live and know when you die you’re going to spend all of eternity with God in Heaven where all His Children will be Praising and Worshiping God in ways never imagined.
At the very end of the video he has been cast down into the flames and eternal separation but the end of the letter says, “P.S. Wish you were here…” You see when Gods name comes up, take that instance to use it to the best of your ability to somehow convince someone to come to church or even walk through how you get save and what it means to be saved. Start with the ABC’s.
The ABC’s may be a childish VBs kid thing but it’s the best thing to remember and use to lead a person to Chirst.
A- Admit to God that you have sinned and your no perfect, say that you’ve messed up and will always mess up.
B- Believe that Jesus Christ was sent from God to save the world from the sin that we live in everyday.
C- Confess to everyone that you saved so that they may help you along your walk with God. Confess Him as your savior and Lord and that He will always be.
God will always be there and will be in your heart with just a prayer.
