A Light Bulb Went Off.

In the restroom at my house, there are vanity movie star like lights on top of our mirrors. They provide intense light throughout the whole room. Each light was working. One day while I was stepping out of the shower and was wondering why it seemmed so dark. I did a quick glance out side through the window, but it was really bright out side and I could see the sun. Looking up at the lights I realized that one of the light bulbs was missing. I as still confused why that one little light bulb made the room feel so dark and empty. When the little light bulb was replaced, the room was brighter than before. The new light bulb was dust free and clean, brand new provide a new brightness to the room. Just like a Christian, you are surrounded by many other Christians, wether you realize it or not, and are all working together to provide light to the world. We are all sinners and get ‘dusty’ and it builds up on top of each other and we feel so bad, eventually you break from all the pressure and heat. When your broken only one thing can happen, restoration. Your restored and now the light you were once showing is much brighter than before, and your helping the world see Jesus. But without that One lightbulb, the world will seem much darker… So are you a dusty, broken light bulb in need of dusting? You see, there’s another way then being replaced when your broken, the housekeeper can clean off the dust you have collected. With one prayer to Jesus, one beautiful meaningful prayer, all your ‘dusty’ sin can be cleaned away, and your still the same bright shinning light bulb you would have been if you WERE replaced, but through prayer, there isn’t that moment of brokenness. When your setting there lifeless, almost as if your burnt out of sin and tired I the same old thing. And once again, pray to Jesus right now, He can fix your brokenness and ‘dustiness’!
Pray this, “Jesus, I’m a sinner and get a little dusty at times, but I know through your grace and unfailing mercy I can be saved from all the heat and pain of life. God, please come into my heart and save me from the sin of the world, and thank you for sending your son to save my life from eternal hell, in Your name I pray, Amen”. Now what do you do? Tell somebody! Being saved is a remarkable thing, it means that all your life and for eternity you’ll have a person to rely on and to talk to God, who will love you forever, even when your in doubt. Just stand up and see the world around you, ignore it and keep walking with God. Time for a dusting.
